Tallahassee - The bitter struggle to take severe measures against illegal immigration ended, for this year, the Florida Legislature on Friday, when lawmakers in the House and Senate reached the end of the session 60 days without an agreement.
State senators signed their most favorable proposal on Wednesday. But by then it was too late for the House to take charge of the measure.
On Friday, Gov. Rick Scott told a Fox affiliate radio station in the Florida Panhandle, that lawmakers should have passed an immigration bill, but it can always be next year.
